Well, the time has come, here, at Arctic Akitas, and it's a bit earlier than I had thought. Both Deshka and Nikita have come into season now and matings are in progress. Will post more when things progress and are confirmed. Keep checking back to the website
http://www.arcticakitas.com/
and we will post more there. Thank you everyone who has sent me pictures of thier new puppies from our last litters. It is always a pleasure to see those little fur balls grow up and mature. They are so fun.
I'll be posting more here as things progress. For now, take care!

We have tried to use a nice white male Akita as a stud for Nikita, but after several days of no success, have decided to instead breed her to our Sun Bear, from Arctic Akitas. Those puppies should be exceptional, with great shaded coats, just like Bear, and maybe a one or two pure whites like Nikita. These puppies should be a bit bigger than her last litter with Spike.
ReplyDeleteI have a playful male akita, he is also mischief, loveable and sometimes sleepy ,which is most of the time. He get his face up to granny every time she gives grandson a kiss. He has sad eyes that can get him everything he wants and he loves to go for a ride in snogo and cars.
ReplyDeleteYes Akita puppies are SO much fun!
ReplyDeleteUpdate: Both Deshka and Nikita have been mated successfully. There should be some wonderful puppies available, here at Arctic Akitas, approx. March 20-25th. We will have both AKC and Non AKC available for responsible, commited, knowlegable, and loving homes. Read up on Akitas online or on my "Akita Info" page at
www.arcticakitas.com
We'll do ultrasound and/or X-rays and confirm pregnancies as soon as we can.

Have been following your site for a while! We are in El Paso, TX currently and have orders for Fort Wainwright in Sept. We are looking at several locations in North Pole/Fairbanks area. I have one Akita, a Siberian Husky and 2 Pomeranians. My wife and I are very interested to see what your future litters look like as we would be interested! How far are you guys from Fairbanks area?
ReplyDeleteFrom Fort Wainwright, we're about 25 minutes or so. Yes keep checking back to the "Available Puppies" page, and we'll post them as they come. Will post photos at 4 weeks and again at 6-8 weeks. Final picks at 8 weeks. Glad you're coming to Alaska - any questions, feel free! We love it up here in the Great North Land!
DeleteAlso, if you have a moment, fill out the "Puppy Questionare" form and email it to me, so I can have your info when you are ready for an Akita puppy.

Okay I will do. We really have no questions, just trying to find a place to live. We're looking in the North Pole area as of right now. I saw your Ad on Craigslist about the Akitas, so when we make our way that way we will be sure to send you a picture of Enzo!
